Stephen A. Vasko, Sr., age 75, of Delaware Avenue, Bethlehem PA, formerly of Bachman Street, Hellertown PA, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at the St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill PA. He was the husband of the late Theresa A. (Nakata) Vasko, 2001.

Born in Hellertown PA, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Palo) Vasko. He worked for the former Victor Balata Belting, Easton PA for many years, until retiring. He previously worked at AIRCO, Bethlehem PA, as a Welder for 25 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He was a member of Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, Hellertown PA, where he was a Member of St. Vincent de Paul Society at the Church, Holy Name at the Church, and the SOKAL Society.

He is survived by his Daughter, Mary S., wife of E. Arnold Siegel of Lake Villa IL; Brothers, Frank Vasko of Hellertown PA and George Vasko of Hellertown PA, Sister, Anna T. Martin Vasko of Hellertown PA; and Granddaughter, Elie Siegel. He is predeceased in death by his Son, Stephen A. Vasko, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held 9:00 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown PA. Friends and family may call 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home. Interment in Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
