Shirley J. (Latsha) Bahner, age 69, of Fogelsville PA, formerly of Rebuck and Carlisle PA, died Friday, July 28, 2006 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township PA. She was the wife of the Reverend George W. Bahner. The couple celebrated their 46th Wedding Anniversary last June.

Born in Mahoning Township PA, Shirley was the daughter of the late Raymond A. "Pat" and Hilda Marian (Hendrickson) Latsha.

She taught courses in Fashion and Economics of Clothing at the Penn State University, Altoona Campus. Prior to that, she taught at the Wisconsin School for Girls and established the Home Economics Department at the Conestoga Valley Senior High School, Lancaster PA. Shirley served as a former Pennsylvania Delegate for the National 4-H Camp held in Washington, D.C.; and was a Member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Ziegels Union Church, Breinigsville PA.

She is survived by her Husband; and Daughters, Jean M. Bahner of Carlisle and Linda K. Bahner at home.

A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2006 at Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville with the Reverend Jack L. Ivey officiating. There are no Calling Hours. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville PA.
