Leah H. (Hassler) Baer, age 90, of New Tripoli PA, formerly of Atlantic Beach FL, died Tuesday, September 19, 2006 in Kutztown Manor, Kutztown PA. She was the wife of the late Kermit W. Baer.

Born in Allentown PA, Leah was the daughter of the late William G. and Cora V. (Moyer) Hassler. She was the a Co-Owner and Operator with her late husband of the former Palms Motel in Atlantic Beach FL for 48 years, retiring in 1996. Leah was a member of Jacob's Church, New Tripoli PA and a Member of the Schnecksville, Kempton and Fogelsville Senior Citizens Groups.

She is survived by her Son, K. Robert Baer and his wife Jeanne of Green Cove Springs FL; Daughter, Carole B. Hall and her husband Robert Sr. of Jacksonville FL; Companion, Dalton G. Kerschner with whom he resided; 10 Grandchildren; 23 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Great Great Grandsons.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 2006 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Reverend Scott L. Shay officiating. Family and Friends may call 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Grandview Cemetery, Allentown PA.
