Richard C. Baatz, age 69, of Schnecksville PA, died Wednesday, June 18, 2003 in his home. He was the Widower of the late Elaine J. (Kuhns) Baatz.

Born in Whitehall Township PA, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Lottie M. (Hess) Baatz. He was an Assembly Line Technician for Mack Trucks, Inc., Macungie Plant for 32 years, retiring in 1998. He was a Member of U.A.W. Union Local #677, Allentown PA. He was a part-time Grounds Keeper for the Union Church Cemetery Commission, Neffs PA, since 1999. He was a Member of the Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville PA. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He was a Member of the Copeechan Fish & Game Club, Schnecksville PA.

He is survived by his Son, Thomas R. Baatz of Germansville PA; Daughters, Theresa A. Green of Gilbertsville PA and Pamela E. Muller of Fleetwood PA; Sister, Marilyn H. Slonaker of Schnecksville PA; and 4 Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2003 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA. Family and Friends may call 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the Funeral Home. Interment in Union Church Cemetery, Neffs PA.
