Ryan Allan Caffyn, age 12, of New Tripoli PA, died Friday, March 11, 2005 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township PA.

 

Born in Allentown PA, Ryan was the son of Christopher A. and Sandra M. (Ignar) Caffyn, with whom he resided. Ryan was a 6th grade Honor Student at St. Joseph The Worker School, Orefield PA. He also was a Member of St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, Orefield, where he was an Altar server and was involved in the Living Stations Passion Play. Ryan was a Member of St. Joseph's Boy Scout Troop #150, having achieved the rank of Second Class.

He was a Member of the Western Lehigh United Rockets Soccer Team; and a Member of the Ontelaunee Rod & Gun Club, New Tripoli PA where he competed in Archery Tournaments. Ryan loved music and played the Trumpet & Piano. He loved Art, Fishing, Swimming, Kayaking, Sailing, Claming, Snorkeling, Camping, Bowling, Cooking and going to the Movies. Ryan was an exceptional athlete and was the most caring, loving, generous, warm-hearted, intelligent and handsome young man who gave 100% in everything he did and will be sadly missed by everyone who's life he touched.

He is survived by his Parents; Brother, Mitchell B. Caffyn at home; Fraternal Twin Sister, Jennifer Caffyn at home; Maternal Grandparents, Leo B. and Theresa (Miga) Ignar of New Tripoli PA; Paternal Grandfather, Allan E. Caffyn of Manchester CT; Paternal Grandmother, Nancy J. (Jacobson) Caffyn of Mashpee MA; Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He left behind many great friends, school and teammates.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2005 in St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield PA. There are no Calling Hours. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville PA.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Joseph The Worker Angel Scholarship Fund Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville PA.


Ryan - It rained heavy today and all the snow is almost gone. The grass started turning green. I love you. We miss you so much.

Ryan - Pop Pop Caffyn and Uncle Tim are visiting with Porter. Jen & Mitch are having a good time with him. I picked Mom the first Snow Crocuses today. You would have loved them. Miss you so much.
