Arlene M. (Bear) Oliphant, age 94, of Schnecksville PA, formerly of Walnut Street, Allentown PA, died Tuesday, November 30, 2004 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Harry J. Oliphant.

Born in Lowhill Township, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Birdie E. (Shoemaker) Bear. She was employed as a Sewing Machine Operator at the former Adelphi Manufacturing Co., Allentown PA, before retiring. She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs PA.

She is survived by her Sisters, Anna Lou J., wife of Paul J. Oswald of New Tripoli PA and Marie A. Brown of Johnstown OH; Step Daughter, Dolly Palatella of Allentown PA; and Nieces and Nephews. She is predeceased in death by her Brothers, James F. Bear and Walter C. Bear.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2004 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA. Family and Friends may Call 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Funeral Home. The Reverend Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Interment will take place at the Grandview Cemetery, Allentown PA.
