Theresa J. (Zeman) Oberly, age 88, of the Phoebe Home, Allentown PA, formerly of Coffeetown PA, died Saturday, July 24, 2004 in her residence. She was the Widow of the late Paul F. Oberly.

Born in Allentown PA, she was the daughter of the late Florian and Theresa A. (Jajcaji) Zeman. She worked in the promotional mailing area of the Advertising Department of Rodale Press, Inc., in Emmaus for 20 years, retiring in 1985. She was a Member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown PA where she formerly sang in the Choir. She was a Volunteer for the Northern Valley EMS, Coplay PA; Charter Member of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensible); and former Girl Scout Leader and Cookie Sale Chairperson for over 50 years.

She is survived by her Son, Raymon P. Oberly of Rhinebeck NY; Daughters, Lorraine T. Maioriello of Santa Rosa Beach FL, Isabelle A. Andres of Neffs PA and Rosalie P. Warner of Bethlehem PA; Brothers, John Zeman of Oregon and Joseph Zeman of Nevada; Sister, Helen Hungo of Florida; 11 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. She is predeceased in death by her Son, Jerome F. Oberly and Granddaughter, Connie L. Andres.

A Memorial Mass will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2004 in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 801 North 11th Street, Allentown PA. Family and Friends may call 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Church. The Reverend Martin F. Kern, Celebrant. Interment in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Allentown PA. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville PA.
