Keith E. Schaffer, age 78, of Eagle View Drive, Bath PA, died Saturday, September 13, 2003 at the St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill PA. He was the Husband of Irene G. (Gozzard) Schaffer. The couple celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary last December.

Born in Bethlehem PA, he was the son of the late Arthur E. and Emily J. (Rapp) Schaffer. He was a Certified Life Underwriter for New York Life, Allentown PA, for 35 years until retirement. He was a Veteran of the Unites States Navy, having served during World War II on the USS McConnell Destroyer Escort and in the South Pacific for 36 months. He was of the Protestant Faith. He was a Member of the H. Stanley Goodwin Lodge 648, Bethlehem, F. & A. M. He was a Volunteer for St. Luke's Hospital at the former Age Well, Westgate in Bethlehem PA.

He is survived by his Wife; Daughters, Pamela G. Schaffer of Bethlehem PA, Cynthia G., wife of Robert W. Kern of Fogelsville PA and Valerie G., wife of Richard R. Waterloo of Nazareth PA; Brothers, Arthur Schaffer of Reading PA and Donald Schaffer of Hellertown PA; and 4 Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2003 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA. Family and Friends may call 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Funeral Home. Interment in Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
