Raymond M. Salgado, age 78, of Ravena Street, Bethlehem PA. Departed this life, Saturday, April 24, 2004 in his home. He was the Husband of Frances J. (Malozzi) Salgado. The couple celebrated their 57th Wedding Anniversary last September.

Born in Bethlehem PA, he was the son of the late Jose G. and Elena (Romero) Salgado. He was a Foreman at Bethlehem Steel in the Beam Yards for 37 years, retiring in 1986. He was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Force, having served during World War II. He was a Member of the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, Hellertown. He played Guitar for the Rhythm Boys Band until 1943 and he played Soccer with the Portugal AC until 1950.

He is survived by his Wife; Spouse; Son, Raymond M. Salgado, Jr., Husband of Lorraine M. of Hellertown PA; Daughters, Sandra L., Wife of Rodney C. LaBar of Hellertown PA and Catherine A., Wife of Dr. Edward A. Vollbrecht of Harrisburg PA; Brothers, Paul Salgado of Bethlehem PA, Salvador Salgado of Bethlehem PA and David Salgado of Bethlehem PA; and 4 Grandsons, Christopher J. McCaughin, Jason M. and Scott B. Salgado, and Matthew G. Vollbrecht.

Funeral Services will be held 9:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown. Family and Friends may Call 8:00-9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Interment in Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
