The Reverend William Reed Teitsworth, age 83, formerly of West Reading PA, died Friday, November 19, 2004 at Phoebe Home surrounded by his loving family. He was married 58 years to Margaret Y. (Best) Teitsworth.

Born in Lewistown PA, he was the son of the late William R. and Ruth May (Isenberg) Teitsworth. Reverend Teitsworth was the Pastor of St. James United Church of Christ, West Reading PA, 1957 - 1986; Pastor of St. James United Church of Christ, Limerick PA, 1946 - 1957; and was also Pastor Emeritus at Wyomissing United Church of Christ, Gouglersville PA. He was a member of the Faith United Church of Christ, Allentown PA.

He was also a Member of then West Reading Fire Company were he was Assistant Fire Chief; Past President of the Olivet's Boys and Girls Club of Reading; Past Board of Directors Pennsylvania Southeast Conference; Past President of Reading UCC Ministrium; Pennsylvania Southeast Conference Church Camping Program; and Member of the F.& A.M. Lodge 549, Reading.

He is survived by his Wife; Son, The Reverend Richard L. Teitsworth and his wife Jacquelyn G. of Nazareth PA; Daughter, Sharon Lou Payne of Virginia Beach VA; Sisters, E. Jane Daniels of Lancaster PA and Marjorie T. Weaver of Princeton NJ; 6 Grandchildren and 4 Great Granddaughters.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Faith United Church of Christ, 2510 Livingston Street, Allentown PA. Family and Friends are respectfully invited to a luncheon immediately following the service in the Church. Interment at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Hellertown PA.
