Carl G. Tershak, age 56, of Schnecksville PA, died Thursday, August 19, 2004 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township PA. He was the Husband of Frances A. (Kasper) Tershak. The couple celebrated their 17th Wedding Anniversary this past February. Born in Wilkes-Barre PA, he was the son of Alberta (Binkofsky) Tershak and the late Andrew Tershak. Mr. Tershak was the Principal at Kratzer Elementary School, Parkland School District for the past 3 years and Principal at the Parkland High School from 1989 - 2001. He was a Member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown PA. He was a Class of 1966 Graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre PA; Earned a BA in Philosophy in 1971 at Don Bosco College, Newton NJ; Earned a Master of Divinity in 1978 at St. Joseph Seminary in Yonkers NY; Earned a Masters in Educational Administration, University of Scranton in 1985; Certifications: PA, Secondary Principal and Social Studies Instructor; NY, School District Administrator and Principal; NJ, Principal and Supervisor. He was affiliated with the National Association of Secondary School Principals; PA Association of Secondary School Principals; Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development; PA Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development Central and Western Regions; American Association of School Administrators; Cambria County School Administrators Association; PA School Board Association; Phi Delta Kappa, University Park and Altoona Penn State Chapters; and International Committee for Computers in Education. He is survived by his Loving Wife; Mother; Brother, Andrew Tershak of DesMoines IA. He is predeceased in death by his brother, Richard Tershak. A 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, August 23, 2004 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 11th & Washington Sts., Allentown PA. Family and friends may call 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA. Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Drums PA.
