Joseph Lakatosh, Sr., age 99, formerly of Slatington PA, died Monday, March 17, 2003 in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall, where he has resided for the last 2 years. He was the Widower of the late Cora M. (Valora) Lakatosh.

Born in Slatington PA, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Trevil) Lakatosh. He was a Truck Driver for Makovsky Brothers, Inc., Cementon PA. Prior to that he was a Truck Driver for the former R.H. Kressley Trucking, Orefield PA for a total of 49 years before retiring in 1972. He was a Member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville PA.

He is survived by his Sons, Edward J. Lakatosh, Sr. of Peosta IA, Dale A. Lakatosh, Sr. of Walnutport PA, Dean K. Lakatosh, Sr. of Neffs PA, Denton K. Lakatosh of Schnecksville PA and David L. Lakatosh, Sr. of Schnecksville PA; 19 Grandchildren and 29 Great Grandchildren. He is predeceased by his Sons, Joseph A. Lakatosh, Jr., Robert A. Lakatosh and Darwin Lakatosh; and Daughter, Dorothy Lakatosh.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2003 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA. Family and Friends may Call 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Funeral Home. The Reverend Dennis W. Moore officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Northampton PA.
